I wanted to let everyone know the milestone I accomplished in Mississippi this year. Here is a little info on me. I am 38yrs old female to male transgender man. I transitioned on the job (Captain at a police dept) where I have been employed almost 15yrs. In June of this year, and having all my legal documentation completed, I became the 1st transgendered person to legally get married in my state. Mississippi is well known for its discriminating and prejudices not to mention the bible belt state. I can foresee the state implementing "new" laws to prevent future happenings. So I hope I have paved a little bit of the way for other trans people in the state. Im availible to assit in anyway to help support and advocate for our GLBT community.

keagan,
Congrats on your wedding and on your transition! Great pic, bro. I'm married to an FTM. We've been together 35 years. He began transition in 2005. Good thing you guys aren't gay like we are. You never would have been able to get married. Luckily, we live in MA where it's legal, so our marriage is still our marriage, no matter the official gender.
