Last night I watched a documentary on the first Equality Ride and wanted to keep up to date on what's happening with the program.
I'm 25 years old, living in the home of Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA. Wait, it gets better. At the age of 17, I converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormonism). At the age of 19, I left home to serve a full-time Mormon mission for two years. During my mission, I accepted the reality that I was gay and endured the heartbreak of losing my faith. I returned home at 21 and started rebuilding my life. Now, I'm a progressive political activist and the chapter leader of Hampton Roads Post-Mormons, and have been involved with the local gay rights movement. I think it's great what SoulForce and the Equality Ride is doing. Keep pushing on!! |

Hi Joel- Welcome to Soulforce. You've been through a lot in a short time! Wishing you all the best in your journey. Speaking of which: you are of the age where you could be a Rider. Might be something to look into.
