Talking Happy New Year! What are you creating in your life for 2010?

Hey folks, I hope you've had a great holiday season. I got to spend time with family in Oklahoma -and introduce Doug to everyone, go to a girlfriend's wedding in Texas, and just had a great time. Now I'm back in Minneapolis and am creating what's next for 2010.

Here's what I'm up to:
  • Becoming a Regional Vice President in my business by Oct. 1
  • Creating a prototype young adult ministry for MCC churches world-wide.
  • Becoming a foster parent.
  • Getting married.
  • Mastering the guitar and voice, in preparation to lead worship & write & perform music.
  • Writing my first book for LGBTQ young adults.
  • Getting in the best shape of my life.
How are you? What are you up to this year?
Nathan

That's a very ambitious agenda Nathan. I hope you reach your goals.

Here's my list for 2010:

* cut down on salt in my diet
* clean out the garage
* go camping at least once
* donate time to animal rescue
* visit my good friend in Ohio
* plant a tree
* spend more time on my front porch
* eat less junk food
* tell someone who doesn't know that I'm gay

Wow!
Incredible list! You can certainly do it all.
Your optimism, determination and everything is always incredibly encouraging. You'll be an amazing dad to foster kid and an amazing husband; as will Doug if he's anything like you.

I find the simplicity of this encouraging to. Sometimes the little things are what really matter.

2010:
2009 was a year of change, life had been predictable for a couple years, but not in the best way. There were a lot of wake-up calls and we came out on the other side of things.

Now, 2010, predictable is gone. It's kind of an exciting thing, although it will be stressful at times. My New Year's Resolution is to just go with whatever gets thrown my way and not try to control it. Just hope for the best. 2009 brought several amazing people into my life and I hope that I'm able to keep them all.

My drag career has started already; I had my first "Professional" performance two weeks ago.

And I'm trying to plan out what I want to do with my life, which is ambiguous and ambitious but...I need either a full time job or a second part time. If I can handle one of those two, I'm happy.

Congratulations! You probably already discovered this, but there are tons of videos on youtube with queens teaching makeup, hair, fashion, performance, etc.

They came in helpful a few times.
