Genesis query -2

Many thanks for your contributions to my question [Genesis query]. I have learned a lot [and am sure will keep learning].

I wanted to post a follow-up query to it, so here goes:
I think the question that comes to my mind for the folks who say that Genesis is not literal and historical would be: At what point in the Bible does the narrative cease being metaphorical and start being literal, historical facts?
