Post Prayers

Been reading through these posts, some a few months old now, and will be praying for you before I go to bed.

Here's another very sad prayer request I bring before you. A little girl of 4 named McKayla has an inoperable brain tumor. I've known her mother and grandmother for a lot of years. Such a young age to be so sick...

Praying

I would like to lift up a prayer for someone I don't even know... as weird as that sounds. They're a poster on Christianforums. The person is gay and has dealt with a lot of self-hating, depression and attempted suicide. Pray for healing and continued understanding. Thankfully, they have already to begun to understand that they are a child of God and that they are loved as they are.

Also, SoulForce is coming to my college next weekend - Malone University in Canton, Ohio. Pray for dialogue and that some hearts would be changed. Or that, their visit would plant a seed in some already doubting the school's stance on homosexuality. I know that they will not change everybody's mind and some will be downright hostile towards SoulForce, but there may be one or two people on campus who will listen to what they have to say, consider it and re-consider it. Maybe in the future, they would be allies.

Post Another Request.

A friend and former co-worker, Camilla, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Please remember her.

My friend Jim is on his way to Nashville to help his parents who were flooded. They're in their late eighties. Please pray for sense over sentiment for all concerned. They're alive and dry. The hardest part may be deciding what to let go.

I would like to say a prayer to my enemies, to all the things that anger me, and to my estranged friends. Those are the hardest people to forgive for the hurts taken in life, and so all the more important to forgive this.

May my courage to love and theirs be deepened by forgiveness, and so strengthen all that sustains life and joy on earth.

My prayers to the family and friends of the people who I saw on this thread who are unwell, or who have had terrible news, and may our faith be strengthened, ultimately, through the journey.

My prayers to find the compassion and understanding of all the things in God's order that I cannot understand with my mind.

my love to everyone -

stav

I guess that it was only yesterday that I was informed that one of my beloved middle school teachers passed away. He was 68, would have been 69 in two weeks. His beautiful wife (my other middle school teacher), three daughters and grandchildren are now without the one strong man they had in their lives.

He was a teacher in every way. He opened our hearts and minds to a world that we would not have otherwise seen. He taught us to love and to stand for who we are, no matter how hard that is at times. He was a solid rock for my sister and I during our parents divorce.

His last year teaching (2006), we called him by his name when the parents were around... but when it was just the kids, he was grandpa.

In the next couple days, the shock will fade and the reality of it will hit me. For now, it doesn't feel real. Rest in peace, to an incredible man. Please pray for his family and friends.

Default Ugh.

It's finals week. I just need a prayer to get through life until June 2 (and it would be great if I aced the math final), and then I'm home free.

I've been gone so long that I don't know who to contact. I need someone older and wiser to talk to. Unfortunately I can't talk to my parents about certain things and I don't like the way that I get judged by most of my friends.

I feel alone. It's been one of those weeks where you just want to fall asleep in someone's arms, but it's never that simple.

I miss this place.

Jennifer, I pray that you and all around you who are affected will find peace and solace as timely as possible. Lots of love from Capitol Hill.

Gennee, I pray that you find employment in a timely manner.

I send out my prayers, as well, to others who need them at this moment.

Please pray for me that I find that I am on the right path in life. Please pray that I have a better relationship with my sister, with whom I just talked on the phone, and that she respects my wish to not speak to any mutual family members that have hurt me in the past and whom I don't have the energy to forgive. Please pray that I have a better relationship with my mother and that she respects that same wish as well. Please pray that I have satisfactory relationships with anyone else in my family, including those who have hurt me, if that is even possible at all.

Post Terminally ill girl

Sometime ago, I mentioned the granddaughter of a family friend stricken with a brain tumor. Makayla is a lovely, warm-hearted little 4-year-old girl. A shunt has been placed in her head to relieve pressure. Treatment has been stopped, and doctors say her time is short. Please join me in praying for her, and for her family as they walk this difficult road.

I don't think it gets more painful than that.

Please keep my family in your prayers...

My mom just broke it off with her bf. They've been together almost a year and a half. She'll be starting a new job shortly. Trying to find a way to keep our home. She's maximumly stressed.

My brother's band is touring in Europe currently and trying to make decisions about record deals.

My sister because our bio-father is trying to have a relationship with us and when he's in the picture her health suffers.

Also for myself because I can't keep my mom and sister out of the loop forever regarding the fighting with my bio-father. My mom's now ex-bf is the one helping me to put this fire out before it comes back to them.
