Question Job Promotion

Hey guys. Haven't been on the forum for a while. Things in my life are changing very rapidly. Anyway and to the point.

I have been offered a promotion at work. With the promotion is a possible relocation. The issue: the area has no glbt community presence. I would actually have to drive into the City , 30 minutes away to experience community.

My current location is more a college town. So while conservative, there is a gay club and resource center.

Any thoughts?

Default Hey Squirt, good to see ya back

I've spent my life in Minneapolis, so I've always had it all. (well, most of it) A career is nice, and friends are also nice. It's your life, and I hope that you can have most of the best of both. Do you have a friend in The City, that you can crash with, on weekends?

You can always come here. You're young, you're healthy, check it out, and do your best. And come back here, and tell us all about it.

Peace and Love, Bruce Chris

Default Congratulations

Congratulations on your promotion, Squirt. Glad that you're back. Having a community where you can be yourself is important to me if I ever have to move to a different city. I'm sure that you'll find something.

If you've got time to check things out some, I would try making a visit trip out to see how it is. Contact whatever groups DO exist in the area and try to get some opinions from folks who live there.
