Hello, My name is Kyle.
I just happened to stumble upon Soulforce recently and I was intrigued by the concept. I am not really sure if I label my sexuality anymore, but I am a 20 year old male and I am in a two, almost three year relationship with another male. My family is, for the most part, affirming and accepting. I didn't have any trouble coming to terms with my "alternative" sexuality, being as I was raised in a house that taught respect and acceptance for all. I don't have a religious background of any sort. The only benefit that I can seem to glean from that (and it is quite a great one) is that I've been free to explore religion and spirtuatliy on my own terms and on my own time. I guess thats a lot more than a lot of people can say and I should feel very lucky. My family (excluding my parents, who are, for all intents and purposes, atheists) are Christians. My parents, to me, have always given off an "anti-religion" vibe. I think this comes from bad or no experiences with positive religious communities. My other family (grandmother, uncles) have always been described to me (by my parents) as "right-wing christians." Having done some research, they actually fall under something more similar to left wing Universalist Christians. I guess that taught me to go directly to the source before making assessments or judgements. I have begun exploring spirutality lately and I have started at the point that I know best: Christianity. I suppose that, as far as I have researched, my ideas best match up with what you might call a Unitarian Universalist Christian. I think that by joining Soulforce, I will be able to engage in discussing with you folks and broaden my horizons and learn a lot and meet some great people ![]() Sorry so long and wordy! (Thanks to those that actually finished :P) Thats my intro
