Default MCC's Rev. Dr. Cindy Love interviewed by Neocon Bill Cunningham

Rev. Dr. Cindi Love To Discuss
MCC's "Would Jesus Discriminate?" Campaign
Interview Can Be Heard Live on XM Satellite Radio and Via Internet

Help pass the word!

MCC's Rev. Dr. Cindi Love will appear on "The Bill Cunningham Show" on WLW 700 AM Talk Radio in Cincinnati on Tuesday, July 18.

She is scheduled to discuss MCC's "Would Jesus Discriminate?" campaign. (Thanks to a national (US) Associated Press news story, this MCC campaign has been featured in more than 60 U.S. mainline newspapers over the past four days -- including the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Daily News, Fort Worth Star Telegram, and the Miami Herald -- as well as on Pat Robertson's CBN website.)

The interview can be heard on XM Satellite Radio Channel 173. Or to listen live over the Internet, visit www.700wlw.com -- click on "On Demand" then select "Listen Live."

Cindi's segment begins at 1:10 PM Eastern Time (10:10 AM Pacific Time) and should run 15 to 20 minutes.

The show is very conservative (host Bill Cunningham is a frequent guest on Fox News national TV shows in the US) -- so Cindi will be carrying MCC's message to a venue that is different from much of MCC's coverage, but one that is in keeping with the goals of the "Would Jesus Discriminate?" campaign.

Please hold Cindi in your prayers as she carries MCC's message of God's inclusive love to talk radio on Tuesday -- and be sure to tune in and listen.

Pass the word!

I just listened to it... and other than making me angry, I don't know what to say.

Default ooooo I feel icky now, will have to go wash out my ears

Nathan, thanks for posting that link, and also for forewarning me about how ultra-conservative he is.. so I guess you prepared me for the tone of his interview. Although perhaps not for what came afterwards.

It comes back to the same thing; alas, that these people accuse us of twisting the bible to our ends -- yet forget that they do exactly do that. How else do they justify vengance when the Lord says Vengance is mine. How else do they justify divorce when the bible says its not on. And justify war when it says Thou Shall Not Kill.

How do we speak our truth in such a way that we can't be accused of moral relativism? Is it impossible, because no matter what we say our words are twisted (as he said that she suggested pedophilic rape is ok, which she clearly did not). I think he used moral relativism too ("just putting divorce aside for the minute..."). Is it just ok for them and not us -- that double-double standard that another wise thread on this board talks about?

Also, I keep wondering about this tactic, that Dr Love uses here. Is it better to speak out in a forum like this idiot-dj, because there is always an opportunity to reach someone amongst the listeners. Or is it better to never go on these shows because it fuels the fire of hatred against us. Nonetheless, I thank her for her courage as she must have known she would be slayed on-air afterwards.
