My partner and I live in Greensboro, N.C. We have two kids 15,13. We have been thinking of becoming foster parents with the hopes of adopting someday. Does anyone know if the state of NC will let gay parents become foster parents? What about adoption? I know there are some places like California that are very lenient and some like Florida that are totally against.
We are also interested in hearing the experiences of other families and how you became a family. We have been finding out a lot of infoabout gay parenting through Rosie O'Donnell's website. Has anyone seen their new DVD All Aboard? It is about their new gay cruise line Rfamily vacations. The documentary is wonderful and very moving. They also have a forum on their website that is awesome. Check them out at www.rosie.com www.rfamilyvacations.com Thanks, Christine and Jan |

I checked out the teaser for the documentary All Aboard. Very cool. Having gone on my first cruise this summer (where were all the gay people?), R Family Vacations seems like it will offer a great service for the GLBT community. Maybe our second cruise will be with them.

SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY for you and your family!! I just looked at keltic's post about his new house, so for the second time today, I'm thinking that this makes me all the more happy simply because it's possible.
