It is a great privilege to find this site again. I have read Mel's Stranger at the Gateand was so impressed with the sometimes thrilling, but often sad path he took to soul freedom. I have pastored churches for 25 years, worked in the public school system in the communications dept for 10, and retired after 5 years in retail. MY CURRENT SOUL SEARCH: After several years of promiscuous relationships I have the opportunity to be in a monogamous relationship with a person who has been in my home twice for extented visits. My concern for this relationship is whether or not I can remain faithful when he is back in his home in Europe. Am I afraid of committment? Part of this is also a spiritual search for real meaning for life in these times. WOW - I've dumped a lot onto this first forum posting. I hope to hear from any member(s) who will continue a conversation along these lines of search. Last edited by wmsc29; 08-13-2006 at 09:54 PM. Reason: hit wrong key before finishing the thought |

Is that short for Whimsical? I guess it could be, if you want it to. Anyway, welcome to our humble website. (And it's not often that I get to be the first to welcome a new member)
Peace and Love, BruceChris |

Hello, and welcome to Soulforce. So glad that you found your way back, after a long break. It is a guiding light for me many times, especially when facing the really difficult questions. It sounds as if you want to find an answer that will help you to stay with what seems to be in your heart- this relationship. It is quite a challenge to remain faithful to that when the person cannot be in our physical presence a lot of the time. I would think part of meeting that challenge is focusing on that which is truly important to you- if maintaining it is, then all that may tempt you in the meantime is just a temporary fix. Keep a focus on the deepest part of what you want. Don't know if that helps. Please, come around often! Vanessa
