Cool Hello, My name is Lee Loving

I am 25 yo gay man living in, well, not the most gay friendly of places.
The town I live is called Stigler,OK. Population 1000, and there are about 15 churches, and Very conservitive, and well, I won't go any farther, on the risk of complaining, I do see it as an opprotunity, even though I live in the midst of those would would hate for no more that what I am, I am always do my best to forgive them, even though its not always easy.
I am more spiritual than religious, a bit of an eclectic, I believe that God has many names and faces all over the world. I believe one religion can not bring peace to the world and too many have started wars in the name of God. So on top of supporting gay people of faith, I also feel that there needs to peace between the faiths.
Ok now that I have gotten that little rant out,
More important stuff,
I am a Libra,
My favorite color is Blue
Hope to hear from your guys later.
Bye for now

Welcome. Now I know 3 gay people in Stigler, Oklahoma.

Karen Weldin, her partner Susanne Bain, and now Lee Loving. If the population is 1000, that means there are likely 97 more GLBTs

Default Welcome, Lee

I want to be the first to welcome you to Soulforce, but Jamie seems to have beaten me to it. Read our threads, post some posts, and meet the people. Maybe, if we are all very lucky, you will even have a Supreme Court ruling named after you!

Loving v Oklahoma?

Peace and Love, BruceChris

Can I call you "Loving, Lee"?

What a great name!!!

And it makes me think of that song... "Wouldn't it be luverly..."

Grew up in Meno, OK myself (pop. 300 or so). Don't think I know anyone from Stigler, though I've heard of it.

Anyway, welcome friend!

Cool Thank you Zerbie

My screen name is a name I picked up while I was staying in a Hindu temple
devoted to Hanuman, Hanuman is a devotee of Lord Rama (another name of God), I wish only to be like him, Unyeilding Love and service to God.
Marutidas translates to Maruti (son of the Wind) and das (servant of).
Talk to you later.

Default Welcome, Lee!

I also love your actual name, and your screen name/user name. So glad that you found us, and I look forward to seeing you here on the forums! It is nice to hear that you are holding onto your hope in spite of a rather intolerant climate- best to you! Peace, Vanessa

Don't think I gave you a formal welcome yet!

Welcome to the SF forums Lee Loving/Marutidas! Both very cool names.

Glad you are here, hope you enjoy it and looking forward to all you have to share.

Servant of the Son of the Wind,

I went to undergrad school not all that far away from you in Missouri- Springfield, that is. And have a vague memory of stopping in Stigler on a choir tour. But that was eons ago, before my brain was split open in the process of coming out.

I like what you've said below. Your words resonate with me strongly. Even when I was considered- and called myself- a Christian, I always felt that labels and dogma could not encompass All of the Everything that Is.
