Default Kids say the darndest things!

so I had a 2nd grade class in here this morning. These young ones have a habit of telling me everything, even stuff I don't want to know. I can be a bit squeamish, so I have a rule about showing me boo boos, etc. I tell them "I'm not a doctor, not a nurse, not a dentist. I don't want to see boo-boos or where teeth used to be. If you show me that stuff, I'll show you what I had for breakfast." They all giggle, and "ooh, gross" and then one kid calls out "what did you have for breakfast?" another kid answers real quick and says "I know! you had FRUITY Pebbles." I nearly lost it. yeah, that's the kind of cereal a guy like me would eat; fruity pebbles!

Silly kids.... bet they didn't know how right they were! I like your part about boo-boos and teeth, though. Makes me smile.

Kids keep me loving my work with kids too, after 23 years with them, they still manage to make me laugh, and think, on a daily basis!

I don't have any children of my own (well other than the 4 footed variety), but from time to time I see that children have a way of keeping people 'honest'!!
