Default My old church

Grew up mostly Roman Catholic, semi-practicing, but my father & his wife started going to this church after moving to Oklahoma. I was actually baptised there. They attempted to drag their feet on getting those records to my current church for whatever reason.

They made the news.

Now I know what Fr. Noel was talking about the other day, asking about them being in the news. Sad. Not surprising. They have several issues.

I'd still go there before going back to GUTS though...

with 3,000 members there have to be some lgbt people there, even if they are closeted. I feel sad for them.

Britt,
I am so sorry that this issue has to be so divisive. I have to say this-God isn't in any of this split. The spirits of division, hatred, fear and arrogance are having a field day, however. God is not about division or dissension. He is about love, unity and forgiveness. Throughout the church's illustrious history, haven't we gotten it by now? Very little of what we do as a corporate church, in my opinion, pleases a holy God. I am just sorry that a megachurch has to be split over this, because none of it is about God and what he wants.

Man, if 1000 members is the bar for a mega church, what about 15,000 members? Victory, the church I went to in Tulsa had that many back when I was in high school. Tulsa must have many mega churches.

I remember Guts church too... and their halloween house. Nothing like focusing on the blood & guts of Jesus to convert young kids to Christianity.
