Hello my name is Al
I'm 40 years old and living in Brooklyn. I've got a job in Manhattan that takes up a lot of my time but I do enjoy it. I tend to be quiet and a loner but I do enjoy being around people even if I don't always say alot. I quit drinking about 7 months ago and so far things are looking fine.
I was in the submarine service for nine years and during that time I've managed to learn alot about myself and also was given the honor of meeting some of the finest people I'll ever know in my life. I got out of a 7 year relationship 3 years ago and we've managed (barely) to stay friends. Last year I saw a movie "What The Bleep Do We Know". Ever since that times I've slowing been looking for a more spiritual belief that I can embrace. While organized religion can bring a lot of good and decency to a lot of people I've lost faith in it and am trying to learn on my own. I'm a good cook, a decent photgrapher though I wish I would get formal training in it (no time so far). I like reading intelligent books ("Origins") but I also love watching not so intelligent tv shows (Supernatural) {won't miss it for the world}. Hopefully I can contribute to whatever you need but time will tell. Peace, Al

Hi Al and welcome to the Soulforce forums. A friend of mine, Dotti Berry, highly recommended the same film, What the Bleep Do We Know. I haven't seen it yet, but I might check it out now that you have reminded me of it.
