....good one, every now and then I can do haiku, but my mind has gone blank.... and i never really thought of doing political haiku...it always felt like an art to me, and some how I never feel that way about politics.

I don’t know why, but that last line demanded an immediate and unexpected chortle of me with an ever so slightly noticeable tinge of sadness.

Nice Haiku dash,
Just to remind you the rules of haiku, It is a short japanese poem three sentences broken into syllables of 5 for the first line, 7 for the second line and 5 for the last line. For example full of life and song we march in a grand par-ade I love be-ing Gay Those with a sharp tongue, who speak hate-ful lies, take care not to cut your throat

Heheh - Dash, I like your first one better.
That last line made me do a little *gasp* of happy happies. I really love mornings. And I loved your poem.

Political Ones Come Later. It seems to me, though, that the last line should have a slight, subtle change in focus from the first two, and the meter of the the lines should be slightly stilted. (Or is that just how they somehow translate?)
Hai Ku, Here, Would Do Ah, But When There Is Much Drink Naught Comes, But Low-ku All Pronounce Respect AfricanAmerican Many Syllables Hey, I sincerly hope that I have not offended anyone of color, but it IS a very bulky word. I'm feeling goofy today. Hey, these things are better than Limerics. Subtle, even. P&L, BC
