Sorry, House, not Senate. Mea Culpa
Patty -- I've been traveling the country for 17 years working as a child safety advocate, ever since my son disappeared -- Wetterling is showing an increasing lead. Her Republican opponent is Michelle -- Faggots are utterly disgusting, and gay marriage will sell our very souls to the devil -- Bachmann. Maybe there IS a God. 48% to 40%, but we've still got 3 weeks to go, Peace and Love, Bruce Chris

But Michelle makes it real clear that she has LOTS of attitude. I was only charactorizing her. Sorry 'bout that. And yes, she has said some very terrible things about gays, and gay marriage. I don't have a direct quote.

I just want to mention how proud I am to be in Minnesota's 6th congressional district, where I can actually vote against Mrs. Bachman, the most anti-gay woman in politics. Thank you, Jesus.
Michelle Bachman is running for the House seat in the 6th district, a very conservative, suburban+exurban area on the outskirts of the Twin Cities area. And God has placed me in this district for this very moment. (Okay, okay, this is a bit over-dramatic, but c-mon!) Oh, yes, Bachman hates us. And she's extremely intelligent, articulate, and well-spoken. She authored bills in the Minnesota senate that fortunately got overturned, but would have removed sexual orientation from the human rights act. ACK! Wikipedia says of her: In support of a constitutional amendment she proposed to ban same-sex marriage,[14] Bachmann said that the gay community was specifically targeting children and that "our children…are the prize for this community."[13] Bachmann believes that people who are homosexual, lesbian, bisexual or transgender suffer from "sexual dysfunction" and "sexual identity disorders."[15] She also said that she believes that referring to homosexuals as "gay" is "part of Satan."[15] |
