Welcome Ken!
Sorry to hear about the bad feelings. . .but so many of us have been there, one way or another. I'm glad to hear you've been feeling more secure in God's love - it is infinite and unconditional. You're among friends here, many with common interests. You'll find here pianists, organists, singers - performers of many types. We even have a composer on the forum! (Dewdrop World) I'm a singer, and I used to be very good at piano. I miss it - I stopped playing when I got to college because I no longer had a piano at home, and haven't had one since. Glad to have you Ken. Come back whenever you like.

I'd say more, but Zerbie has already said it. SHe knows ALL of the musicians, and I can't carry a tune in a bucket. Stick around, and meet all the tune-sters.

BruceChris said it all when he said Zerbie said it all...et al!
I was a cantor for many years before going back to college. Though I am married to my husband, I VERY recently came out here, to my best friend and my doctor (just today, in fact!) as bi-sexual. My husband has known for years. You have truly found a great place, with the most wonderful, open and supportive people on the planet. Having a gift for music, I think, allows us a rare opportunity to have intimate knowledge of G-d's love for us. All are gifted (I certainly do not mean to imply anything but!). I believe those of us that sing or play in a religious setting really feel a connection to G-d that cannot be denied, regardless of what we are or do outside of the religious setting. I'm not sure why that is, but I know that, while G-d is present in any gathering in His Name, sometimes the only way others can feel His Presence is when the music is there. So please don't feel bad... you were chosen for something special, and it is (perhaps) fortunately most obvious to those of us who hear your gift. G-d bless... ---Dawn

Ken:
I was looking you up just for fun, and came across your declaration. All of us are what God made us, and he made all of us different. I have several gay friends who have expressed feelings such as yours. It is awful the burdens we place on others, and have to carry through life. I have always considered you a friend, still do, and just want to know if I can still call you "Kenny". Have a merry Christmas, and only prosperity in 2007. Pat Murphy |

Ken: Welcome to the Soulforce forums. I hope that you will come to view yourself in a pure, loving way, just the way that God has created you to be. Peace within, Vanessa
