Soulforce is a tiny little organization. It's staff is only about 8 people. So ultimately Soulforce can do nothing except to inspire others to come out, to speak out and to take a stand no matter what the cost. The problem for so many of us is that we want someone else to do it for us, rather than to take the first step and start the process. Most of you are to young to remember John F. Kennedy. I actually worked for his election and believed in him, and while in the end his incapacity to control his sexual impulses proved his undoing, I remember his amazing innaugeral address, where he said, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

The truth and the golden nugget of wisdom for me! We have to have the courage to be that which we think we can never be or do. I think some of us have an easier time taking this sort of risk in our lives- maybe all we need a push or a nudge.

We think we can't- on our own- make a difference, but that isn't true. We can.

Ro-Lin- maybe you can make a difference somehow? Write letters, organize, call newspapers, contact your representatives. Let them know how you feel about things. Your voice matters. You only have to raise it.

Default Research on th Faroes

Friends,

One thing Soulforce people can do--part of our method of operation, in fact--is to research the issues! Here is what I found through google:

http://www.norden.org/webb/news/news.asp?id=6463&lang=6

Anyone else find more information?

Isn't it impressive that so many persons from around the world are turning up in these Soulforce Forums? The movement for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality is truly a global one.
