Greetings,
I am asking for your support in reaching GLBT individuals for a glbt-affirmative study on post-election reactions to same-sex marriage amendments. This is the only study of its kind that is assessing impact of anti-glbt policies over time. We are trying to reach as many states as possible, including individuals living in states that recently passed anti-glbt measures. We are hoping that our results will contribute to challenging current anti-glbt policies. I would gratefully appreciate any help you could give us with letting your community know of this project. Thanks, Michael Post-Election Study on Same-Sex Marriage Rights! Seeking GLB or Same-Sex Identified Individuals for a Brief Study on Marriage Rights Enter a drawing for $25.00! To participate in the survey, please click on this link: https://www.coe.uky.edu/surveyor/?Survey=NovemberSurvey Researchers from PRISMresearch.org at the University of Kentucky and University of Memphis are looking for GLB participants for an online survey about experiences related to the debate over the recognition of civil marriage rights for same-sex couples. This is a study of the attitudes and experiences of gay, lesbian, bisexual, same-gender loving, and same-sex partnered persons regarding the debate over recognition of civil marriage for same-sex couples. This research is being conducted by Ellen D.B. Riggle, Ph.D., and Sharon Scales Rostosky, Ph.D., at the University of Kentucky, and Sharon Horne, Ph.D., at the University of Memphis. The purpose of this study is to document attitudes and experiences at several points in time in all states. Our hope is that the findings from this research project will contribute to an understanding of the experiences of GLB and same-sex partnered individuals in the United States during these times. If you identify as GLB, same-gender loving, or same-sex partnered, are 18 or older and a U.S. citizen or living in the U.S., please consider participating. The survey will take you approximately 15 minutes to complete. The deadline to complete the survey in order to enter a drawing for gift certificates is November 30, 2006. If you would like more information about the survey or the researchers involved, please go to www.prismresearch.org or email e.riggle@prismresearch.org |

I'm glad someone is doing this!
Thanks for letting us know. I am in Arizona, and was a core volunteer with the campaign that defeated Prop 107!! I can attest that THAT Prop 107 definitely affected me profoundly, and WE WON. During the 17 months I campaigned against the amendment, my emotions and my body were affected. More than I expected them to be.
