Post The Prayer

so for the last few months I have been working on a play, just seeing where I could store my thoughts and emotions and stuff like that. Well, today, my teacher said I could perform a scene from the peice. It is called "The Prayer." Before it goes on stage, I wanted some feedback as to how an audience might react. Will you guys be my audience?

The play is about the lives and prayers of five people, set through the eyes of God. Because of this, all the action of the different stories happens simultaneously onstage. It might be confusing to read, but that is ok. I want to know, how you feel when you read it and any other comments. Much and thanks.

A list of characters:

LIZ: About seventeen, the popular girl. Catholic. Gets pregnant by mistake.
HOPE: About twenty, a college sophomore. She acts very cold, rude, but does everything for her church, the model Christian.
PATRICK: About sixteen, a normal kid. His brother dies when racing him in a street race.
JADE: About fifteen, daughter of an abusive father. She falls to drugs.
SEBAS: About seventeen, not very active in school. Must look small, but be strong.

The Prayer

Default initial impression

You're right. It is a little difficult to listen to in writing, but it still struck me as very powerful. Very moving.

I will reread it again in the morning and try to take in more of it.

My initial impression, however, is that you seem to have a gift that should indeed be shared.

Austin,

It is excellent. I had no problem envisioning it on stage as I read it. It's very powerful.

I do recall that copyright is separate from registering a copyright. In other words, it doesn't have to be registered to be copyrighted. It may be wise to put a copyright notice at the bottom of that webpage to protect what you've written.
