Prayer Requests

Approaching moving date ... new job starts two weeks from today. Will be staying in the same town, but have to move houses, as I currently live in an employee rental property at my current job. So much to do and so much to pay for between now and then ... and of course, I'm changing jobs because of how crappy my pay is at my current one. Looking at a little home on Thursday that is, in principle, very affordable ... but I know my always-worked-in-non-profit bad credit history is going to make getting financing a challenge. Money is always the biggest stressor in my life. Why isn't everything free?

ITs STarting SOON. Let's all be in prayer/meditation/positive energy mode for her for the next several hours OK? She is a total BASKET CASE! Pray for:
1. people to be drawn to it!
2. positive response
3. all goes according to plan
4. that every one who comes is blessed by it
5. That Zerbie maintains her cool and that her grace infuses the whole event

Have found what would be an ideal little place for me and mine to live ... is it legit to ask for prayer that some bank will be silly enough to lend me the money to buy it? Actually, I have some things working in my favor on that, but I'm far from confident I can get a mortgage, so I wouldn't mind your prayers.

I'm not to big on asking for prayer but as I was praying for these requests today and thinking about Zerbie I decided I would make my request.
I absolutely never get nervous when I am going to be in front of people, sing or speak. I love it. Tomorrow is our 7 nights and the set Cindy and I have is from 8:00 to 8:30 and I am as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
I am uneasy about everything from getting there to what happens after. I hate that I don't have Christian friends in my own church that I can ask for prayer about this so you guys are my support.
There is a calmness I lack and that is the crux of my request. Peace in my heart, and that we will encourage those in the battle.

this is a WHOLE NEW AND DIFFERENT thing you are doing than you have EVER done before. You are stepping out in front of people who MAY hate you for it. YOu are making yourself vulnerable in a way you never have before.

Its natural that you will feel scared and nervous. But this is a Godly thing you are doing. In line with the actions of the Old Testament prophets! In line with Jesus and his disciples.

And look on the bright side! At least you get to keep your clothes on. God made Jeremiah go out in the street naked to deliver a message once!! Count your blessings

I am in the clear. All the tests came back in my favor, no dreaded illness, I feel very relieved and extremely fortunate and blessed.

Neither, really, I'm moving out of my current house because it's an employee rental property at my current employer (it's gotten too expensive anyway), but I'll be staying in the same school district at least until my younger son graduates. New job is only a 30 minute commute (right outside of Harrisburg ... Camp Hill, to be exact).

Place I'm looking at would be ideal in many ways, not the least of which is that it's smaller and cheaper ... I long to simplify!

I take the PSAT this Wednesday, and I have a swim meet tomorrow, so if I could have some prayer over that. I was pretty close to qualifying for the NMSQT last year, but that was just my sophomore year, I hope I can do better this year. It doesn't affect me if I don't do well, but it helps a bunch if I can do well.
