For my mom, her job is way to intense and she puts up with more then people could ever imagine... but she's working tomorrow as well, making it a 6 day work week. Please just pray that she won't feel so tired and run down. She won't stop working when she is, so just hoping she'll take a day off is useless.


...and for me to remember just how wonderful home is. With all of us always working, it doesn't always feel like home, just more like a place to crash for the night... and I feel guilty for getting the feeling at times that I simply don't want to go home. I need to want to be here again... I'm sure Thanksgiving will help (because there will actually be people here), but it is a prayer requests thread, I may as wel through it in there.

Of course we'll pray for you and your family and your sense of "home".

One of things I've learned on my 51 trips round the Sun is that life goes in cycles and rough passages come AND.... they GO! Don't get discouraged. Hug your loved ones when you pass like ships in the night and remind them that you love them. Thanksgiving is coming and so are some less hectic days (and, no doubt, some days are coming that will make these look like a Hawaiian vacation but they will pass too

Please pray for my 6 month old niece Ella. And her mom and dad my brother Andrew and wife Karen, and for her sister Karman. She's got a really agressive form of kidney cancer at an advanced stage.

...for my friend, her parents are divorced, dad's in jail (but out in 8 days)... but she feels like she can't handle much more. Completely understandable, but just help he to really realize how many people love her and that things really will get better.

For RedNeck: I am praying for your precious neice and her family, that she will be free from pain throughout this struggle, and that her parents can feel the love of God holding them up as they hold Ella up. My partner Scott went to work at 3am for a 12 hour shift. I got a text from him a little over an hour ago saying that he was going to the ER, he's having chest pains (he has a history) I'm trying to get out of here, but there is no sub available for me, so I can't leave until the half day point....I'm not doing the kids much good, I can say that.
Scott has been having chest pains all week. He decided he would call the doctor and get in to see him, but the doc sent him directly to the er.

I got out of school around noon, some other teachers are covering for me. I went to the ER and he was still hooked up but in no pain, feeling a little tired though. They are keeping him overnight for observation and a stress test in the morning. So far, they can find no problems! this is good, yet, they have not found the source of the chest pain.

I am home for a little while, then headed back to the hospital to take necessities to Scott and spend the evening at his side. Thanks all for your prayers.

update: Scott had 2 stress tests on Friday, along with other tests, including bloodwork, all of which indicated that his heart is healthy. There was no apparent reason for the chest pain and he came home early Friday evening. He's all back to normal now. Thanks for the prayers!

I can't go into details but because of some civil/legal action I had to take, there is a slight chance my life is in danger....SLIGHT!!!!! this action will ruin a man's career and livelihood (as it rightly should) but I don't know for sure what the reaction will be. I dare say that my children and perhaps even my ex-wife are in danger as well. So, I guess I'm saying that depending on this man's desperation, it's possible that my family and I are in danger. I HOPE this isn't the case, but then, I can't estimate what the guy is capable of doing, nor his emotional state when faced with the prospect of this action.

Hopefully, I will have more information soon. so, please keep me and my family in your prayers.

UPDATE: ummm, there has been contact from the person who is the target of the legal/civil action and it is causing some major stress in our family. the contact was not physical, but you know, emotional attacks can be worse......

Have you considered whether Scott's chest pain may have been an expression of anxiety, anger, pain, over the situation? Seems a strong possibility, since they ruled out mechanical cause.

Emotional assault is more insidious, longer-lasting, and generally more painful than physical bruising. I am sorry you guys are suffering with this.

I just want to send some big prayer energy out to Jennifer, who is in Washington which is in big trouble with flooding right now- the news is saying it is the biggest rescue effort of persons since Katrina. Please keep her and her loved ones, as well as others on the West Coast, in your thoughts and prayers.......

I would ask for prayers for my mothers partner of 16 years, my step-father(they did not legally marry). He has been the closest thing to a father I have had and one of the first people whom accepted me as a lesbian, even pointing out that he knew before I told him! He has had a bout of Esopogeal cancer and had chemo, surgery etc. He was still having pain so they ran more tests and found he has 4th stage bone cancer. I am devistated as is my mother. My partner and I have set our commitment ceremony for August and there is a very real chance he will not be there now. He was the one who told us to go to Pride and just get married and wait to do a family inclusive wedding later. I wish I had made him come to Pride now and see us wed the 1s time.
