Any fans? I am so excited for tonights new episode... they have this three episode thing going and tonight is the finale... and goodness... it is amazing. Just curious if there were any other fans in this world we live in.

I cried so much tonight! Lol, I don't even watch the series, but it still made me tear up A LOT. Tonight's was very, very good in my opinion.

I got hooked on Grey's Anatomy this summer when I rented the series dvds from Blockbuster. Now I don't miss an episode. I'm not usually into dramas but this show keeps my attention.

From a medical standpoint EVERY ONE of those doctors should have their asses fired (except the black woman whose name starts with an "M") Professional boundaries? never heard of em! I would NEVER EVER go to that hospital to be treated, the doctors are too distracted by who is f___ing whom to pay attention to what they are doing!

Having said that, the writing and the acting are great and we never miss an episode.

Last nights episode was great !! (But Austin... I could have told you that Meredith wasn't going to die!

Got a little mad over so many damn commercials, especially during the last ten minutes of the show, swore at the TV, buit he ending was was good, I was the edge of my seat the whole time. And the Black woman's name is Miranda Bailey, "The Nazi" to her interns.

Here is synopese of all the current seasons


Season one began airing March 27, 2005 and ended on May 22, 2005. The first season was shortened by the network to nine episodes instead of 14. (The original season finale was "Bring the Pain."). Meredith Grey, daughter of the once-renowned surgeon Ellis Grey, becomes an intern at the Seattle Grace Hospital. She meets fellow interns Cristina Yang, Isobel "Izzie" Stevens, and George O'Malley who will be her closest friends during the intern program. Other characters include Dr. Miranda Bailey, who is nicknamed "The Nazi" due to her "tough love" capability; Alex Karev, another intern who is not very popular with the other interns (especially Izzie); and renowned surgeons Dr. Derek Shepherd and Dr. Preston Burke. The chief of surgery is Richard Webber, who was once more than close friends with Meredith's mother. The season chronicles the first few months of the intern program and the day-to-day life of a surgical intern. Recurring plots include Meredith's battle to keep her mother's Alzheimer's disease a secret and her relationship with Dr. Shepherd. Others include George's infatuation with Meredith and a power struggle between Dr. Burke and Dr. Shepherd in the hospital. The season's end introduces Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, Derek's estranged wife.

The second season began airing September 25, 2005, and ended on May 14 and May 15, 2006 with a three-hour finale spanning both nights. The first season originally contained 14 episodes, representing ABC's original midseason order for the show. However, it was decided to end the season early because ABC executives wished for the show's first season to end with ABC's Desperate Housewives (which had the timeslot before Grey's Anatomy for the first two seasons). Rather than condensing or throwing out plotlines, Grey's Anatomy producers chose to end the season with the ninth episode and save the following episodes for the second season. Episodes 10-14 were then held and broadcast as the first five episodes of Season 2. ABC ordered 22 episodes in addition to the five being carried over, bringing the total number of episodes for the second season to 27. The count apparently does not include the recap specials "Straight From The Heart" and "Under Pressure"; however, a 27th original episode was eventually added to the season. "Bring the Pain," which aired as the series' 14th episode, has been cited in series creator Shonda Rhimes' blog as having been originally intended as the first season finale. The second season focuses on Meredith and Dr. Derek Shepherd's relationship, which came to an abrupt halt when it was revealed that Dr. Shepherd is married to the surgeon Addison Montgomery-Shepherd. Izzie Stevens and Alex Karev embark on a relationship of their own (although this is cut short when Izzie falls for heart patient Denny Duquette), as do Christina Yang and Dr. Preston Burke. Dr. Miranda Bailey becomes pregnant and more about Meredith's family is revealed. On some of the weeks airing after its highly-watched February 5, 2006 post-Super Bowl episode, the program attracted more viewers than its lead-in, Desperate Housewives.

On May 16, 2006, the morning following the close of the second season, ABC announced plans for a third season of Grey's Anatomy to anchor the network's Thursday evening programming,[4] set to air at 9 p.m. EST. ABC first tested the series' potential for Thursday audiences on February 9, 2006, as it aired an encore of the Super Bowl XL-leadout episode titled "It's the End of the World." The following Thursday, February 16, 2006, the network repeated the second part of the story arc, ("As We Know It"). Both airings began at 9:30 p.m. EST, and thus positioned Grey's Anatomy against CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Without A Trace, and NBC's long-running medical drama ER. Solid performance on these nights, with the repeat airings maintaining a strong second-place finish, may have been influential in the fall scheduling decision.
The move to Thursdays was viewed as a vote of confidence in the series from ABC, as well as a bid to attract more advertising dollars, since movie studios heavily advertise movies on Thursday evenings for that weekend's box office. The move was cited as one factor for competing network NBC's decision to move its own Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, originally intended to air Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST. ABC announced on July 18, 2006, that the third season would premiere on September 21, 2006.
The series assumed its new Thursday slot on July 6, 2006, as part of a two-hour event featuring a repeat of the pilot episode, "A Hard Day's Night." Throughout July and August, the series aired twice weekly — once in the new Thursday time period, and once in its previous Sunday time period. Grey's Anatomy performed strongly in the show's new timeslot in its season premiere. It was able to snatch away the #1 position from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation during the 9 p.m. hour, bringing in an impressive 25.14 million viewers throughout the hour and a strong 10.9 rating in the vital 18-49 demographic. In comparison, CSI's season premiere earned a competitive 22.04 million total viewership and a 7.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic.[5]Once the season commenced, the show had two previously recurring actors, Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) and Eric Dane (Mark Sloan), join the regular cast. The series' opening credit sequence was also dropped beginning this season, with a title card displayed at the end of the first act and credits displayed over the opening of the second act of each episode.

Thats just the basic's. It is sooo good, you really gotta watch it.

Just to let y'all know, I have been officially banned from Grey's Anatomy by my gf. You see, I am a nurse. I used to work at a large Medical Center teaching hospital. Anyway I worked with all the residents, interns, medical students. So, I drive my gf CRAZY with all my comments like, "They would never do that in real life..." or "That is so fake!"

So on Thursdays I am banned to another part of the house so she can be blissfully unaware of how they really do it, which she doesn't care about, she just loves the show!

I'm an electrical/software engineer, which is why I can't watch most technical thrillers. I keep asking my partner, "why do I hear a 1970's teletype when script appears on that computer screen?"

And also, when things blow up in the vacuum of space, why do we hear it?

Chris got me hooked on Grey's Anatomy. I really liked the cliff-hanger ending to season two and several episodes this season have been really good.

I have to say, though, that I really disliked the ending to this recent three-parter. They wanted to bring Denny and the bomb squad guy back for a cameo, but it was like the writers couldn't think of any real dialogue for them. And Bailey is a favorite of mine, but her dialogue for this show consisted of sighing and repeating "Sir, it's been an hour" while manually pumping Grey's chest. And when the medical miracle happens and they do finally get her heart going after over an hour of drugs, manual pumping, warm fluids, and lots of other medical procedures, all the senior doctors rush out so Christina can finally tell Grey she is getting married to Dr. Burke. Ok, I know you have to bend reality for a hospital tv show, but that was so unbelievable.

And what was up with Izzie saying "I believe Grey will survive this" along with some other nice beliefs and then suddenly turning around to George and saying, "And I believe you are a man who made a terrible mistake marrying Callie." Hello?! I swear that girl has some wild swings. Sometimes I really like her character and then other times it seems the writers like to see just how crazy they can make her. In this episode Izzie was so mean-spirited towards Callie (I'm George's friend, not you) that it really took away from any tenderness in the ending with her feeling Denny's presence.

The conclusion to the three-parter felt thrown together to me. Maybe it was just because so much of this episode took place in Grey's mind that the usual medical drama that this show exhibits seemed lost. Chris gets mad at me and says I'm too critical of tv and movies. But even he thought this episode was cheesy. Seems a good amount of people liked it however. Re-runs for a while now.

Yes, it was all too much for me .....first of all those Dr's would have been running around like crazy, they just sorta sauntered around the trauma room. If you have ever seen somebody who is technically dead, trying to be revived, it is very chaotic! There is running, yelling.....a sense of urgency! They just seemed to float around talking about the weather..... In all my years of working in hospitals, I never saw so many people having this much sex! Especially if you are a resident or an intern. You are lucky if you get to eat or sleep for 2-3 hours a day. I have known a few to grab a quickie in the on call room but nothing like this show!

Ok, I guess you see why I am thrown from the room after the first five minutes!

Jim, on the other hand, my gf is a computer programmer and she can be just as irritating when it comes to anything regarding technical stuff!

Its a TV show - the OP asked what I thought of the TV show so I said what I thought of the TV show. No reason to take my opinion of a TV show personally. Besides, I am right. I have worked for a lot of companies in different cities and never, ever have I been in a work environment where everyone sleeps with each other.

Here's the thing and here is why I call it porn: the characters start out disliking each other but still have sex with each other. The model doctor hates the young, cocky male doctor because he is a jerk, but she has sex with him anyway. This sends the message that being a jerk to a woman will get you laid. Meredith knows that her boss is married and still has sex with him. And Dr. Dreamy - he is married and he screws someone who works under him. Its a violation of business ethics, Christian morals and basic common sense. In real life, this kind of man is a nightmare, not a dream guy. Why is he praised? The nerdy guy has a crush on the slutty hot chick and she knowing this leads him on and breaks his heart. And she is the hero of the show?

Now I am not knocking consensual adult sex, but the reason I don't like the show is because it sends the messages that sex - not love, not dialog, not compassion - should be used to connect with someone you don't otherwise care to associate with. The slut, the bitch, the jerk - all these unlikable characters are glorified for screwing one another. The show sends the message that casual sex is a higher value than any other form of human relationship. That is the story line in porn flicks.
