I'm pretty sure that Poland would have to chose between this law and membership in the European Union since I am pretty sure that it will violate the European Human rights whatchamacallit (I believe "thingy" is the technical term) ... Universal Declaration on human rights? something like that.

I'm thinkin' no way on earth that's gonna fly under the EU's human right's protection. Uh uh!!
Holy smokes!! That law is evil!!!!! I was a child a few years ago (okay, about 15 or 20) and I had gay teachers, and there were some of them I thank God for to this day. A law like that would have deprived me -and ALL my classmates and the sweet little kids in the lower grades growing up after me - of some of the most delightful, caring, organized, inspirational teachers in the district. Huh! Ya know, I had this one gay man for a teacher of k-5 and I used to worry about whether the law protected his job b/c I was afraid people would figure out he was gay and take him away from us (he was one of the best-loved teachers in that school.) I used to lie awake at night worrying about it. Protecting children my ass.

... and should come under severe scrutiny from the EU.
What I want really comment on, however, is a change I've noticed a little closer to home. Has anyone else noticed a slight diversion from Zerbie's usual vocabulary and demeanor. I must say, it suits her. Goes along with that magazine picture a while back where she looked so mysterious. Now I'm seeing signs of her beginning to look - let me see, how can I put this - dangerous, in a ***** (edited to save me embarrassment) kind of way. I feel compelled to help Zerbie with delivery, however, language of this sort being my forte. So just a small suggestion, Zerbie, on where to place emphasis:

Oh but Andy dear, such a bold emphasis utterly shatters the effective under-playing of the reference to my donkey, which is best acheived via subtlety. Ah, or, as a married man, Andy, perhaps you'll divine the reason why I'm a little more irritable than usual this particular week.

Sack, as in to relieve of duties. As in to fire. As in to no longer allow them the privelege of holding a public service job. As in just making life for the GLBT suck even more. As in they just really sacked it to them if this happens.
