Default Our loving Westboro Friends

Our big supporters from the Westboro Baptist Church is coming out to support the souls that were taken at the Virginia Tech shooting.

BTW...I was being sarcastic!!!

I cant believe these people. Just hours after the shooting they publicized their plans to protest at the victims funerals. Tell me this is just a bad dream and these people dont really believe the stuff they are saying. Here is the link to an article.

I feel so sorry for these families. They wont be allowed to grieve because these (out in whatever exlative you would like) wont allow them the peace.

These people are just crazy and brainwashed. I hope a wayward car hits all of them.

Now, Now, PNG you know that you are just angry. You don't really wish that a car would run them all over! You are a far better person than that...

But what about a meteorite? Or a chunk of "Blue ice" from an airplanes toilet? The theological ramifications of that would be ENORMOUS! Can you imagine?

Hey! Be Biblical here!

... it's gotta be the ground opening up to swallow them (Numbers 16) or two she-bears coming out of the nearby woods to maul them (2 Kings 2)

(and you thought I was scolding you, HA!)

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of just being struck dead by God, like in Acts Annanias and Saphiras. I mean THAt would have divine ramifications. But I guess I have to love them. I seriously think that we should get a HUGE amount of Christians to just go and hug these people. That will solve everything, a nice hug (maybe a few knives in hand, just kidding), and some prozac, or a lot of prozac.

Reminds me of a more-than-slightly irreverent (politically incorrect? you choose) expression we had when I worked inpatient crisis: "This looks like a job for Captain Haldol!"

Thumbs down

Fred Phelps obviously has some deep psychic issues. He states that the gunman was doing God's will in punnishing people for apparently not being Christian and then saying that the same gunman will be in hell for doing so. How insane is that . God sends his "servant" to do such a thing and then sends him to hell? If we believe people like Fred Phelps we must believe God is insane as well, that he holds grudges and commands that innocent people be killed for the imagined crimes of someone else(homosexuals)Phelps line of reasoning is whacked. The people who died were not wicked or evil, they were just people who were unfortunate enough and through no fault of their own happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. That God would command such brutal and insane acts is attributing to God insanity and saying God condones such heinous acts is to say God is vindictive, spiteful , hateful and hurtful rather than compassionate and merciful. If anyone believes that about God they do not understand God or know him at all..Nor can they comprehend God's love and his benevolence
What Phelps also conveniently overlooks is biblical scripture that in Timothy says: God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. God doesn't doesn't create insanity nor unsoundness of mind in other words. He doesn't do crazy .

Attributing the negative and unloving actions of others to God is like blaming him for their bad behavior and putting accountability for that behavior on God rather than the person where it rightfully belongs. Man may have free will, but he is also responsible for what he does with that free will. He himself can only be held accountable for what he does.

Red face The only answer that would make any sense

Is that poor Fred is deeper in a closet than ANYBODY has ever been.

Default Saul and fred

Fred is kinda like Saul before his conversion in Damascus. God ask Saul why are you persucute me. Who are you Lord? Jesus says Iam the one who you are persecuted.. Jesus goes and tell him to go into the city and you will be given instrutions of what to do?
Jesus ask Fred, Fred Fred, why are you persucuting my children. Fred says Who am i persecuting . Jesus says you are using my name to perecute my GBLT children. Jesus says go to San Francisco and you will be given instructions there.

Default Saul vs. Fred

When Saul was persucuting the Christians Jesus came to him and ask why he was persecuting him. Saul ask him who am i persecutiing and Jesus said it is I who you are persecuting. Jesus said go to the city in which you will be given directions.
In my devotion while back i was given the same anallogy. Jesus ask Fred, Fred why are you persecuting me. Fred says I do not understand I am not persecuting You. Jesus says yes you are. Fred was confused. So Jesus explain that Fred you are persecuting my children in GBLT community because they are children of God. He told Fred to get up and go to Sanfrancisco and you will be told what to do
