Thinking About Going on the Equality Ride Next Year

Is there anyone else getting as crazy and excited as me? Let's start making plans to triple the buses that go out next year!!!

If I was 30 years younger I'd jump at the chance to be an Equality Rider. What a wonderful experience it must be to be a part of history and to directly influence postive change in America. And just imagine the great memories these young people are making together on their two month tour.

Thirty years from now, LGBT Americans will be gathering to hear these people speak about their experiences on the Equality Ride and how their courage and dedication to equality changed America.

If you have the oppertunity, go for it. I'm sure it's a chance of a lifetime experience.

Yes, Katie - I would be excited about the prospect -- assuming 1) the Equality Ride goes out again next year and 2) y'all are willing to include a 45-year-old!

If we can put together a crew half as wonderful as the group who have gone out this year, I think it will be an unqualified success.

I have the opposite problem as the other two... I'm not old enough... I love the idea though!!!! Hope you get to go, I think it'd be an incredible life-changing experience!!!

I'm thinking about it too, even though I'll be 30, & probably feel old. At this point, I could take 2 months off w/o any real problems.

I think so too. I already told Ben sometime ago that there's a decent chance he will need to suck it up & be by himself for a couple months next year. Hopefully they will have one.
