I encourage everyone to read Jamie's post on the web forum's return to boundaries. I was deeply relieved to read this.
There are hundreds of sites on the internet where people can go and argue endlessly about homosexuality, the bible and politics. There are precious few sites where gay people can dwell in solidarity and support and I thank God for the Soulforce website! I remember when I got my first computer in 1996. I saw a chat room called "gaychristians" & I was thrilled! Unfortunately, it became one of the most miserable bashing sites with bashers entering and bullying chatroom visitors to the point that the gay people quit coming. Bummer. We deserve the right to create and defend safe and sacred space. We need support in our spiritual journey. We need peers with whom we can be in conversation without being led to returning to endless arguments about abomination, unnatural, etc. Most of us are long past that. Thank you to Jamie and the web managers for allowing this site to return to a safe and sacred space for LGBT people and our allies.

It would be nice. I haven't noticed any return at all. To the contrary, I find a couple of posts laden with ridiculous accusations of the members here, and particular myself, to have appeared in the past couple of days. I need me some ring training.

To return to boundaries means (to me at least) that posters to this forum must be in complete sympathy with the mission of Soulforce as stated at the top of every page and no one should be badgered about their sexual orientation nor baited with bible-bashing arguments about sexual orientation on this site.
I have absolutely no problem with moderators banning people who pose as one thing but present as anti-gay on this site. There are hundreds of places these folks can go on the internet and be with people who are of like mind & character. We have only a few. Jamie's post said we opened up the site to be in conversation with folks affected by the Equality Rides. We did have some fruitful conversation. But I want safe and sacred space for all who sincerely commit to Soulforce principles and desire conversation as we live out these principles in our daily lives.
