Thanks revtj,
I realize that the story was not based on the family dog, but, being an animal lover, I noticed that the only one (except the psychiatrist) who never rejected Rusty was Patches. So, if anyone is going to reject their child for being gay, they should at least get him a puppy so he will get love from somewhere. Last edited by Shep; 03-04-2006 at 09:42 PM. |

You're all welcome, I'm glad you got a kick out of it like I did...Shep, your comment intrigued me...I've had pets all my life, ever since I can remember. In saying Patches loved unconditionally, I realized -- I learned alot from my cats & dogs. Unconditional love, yes, but also the need for boundaries, grief & loss & the mystery of death, and, maybe most importantly, that snuggling meets a human need that extends far deeper in the brain than sex!
On behalf of Mackey and Yoda, my cats, we'd like to present the first ever Patches award to the Soulforce Forums.

I also laughed out loud, and enjoyed the artistic renditions as well. It made my day!
