I just saw this website. I thought it would be a good place to visit. My first contact with this site was from an ad on Myspace where I have a page and a blog. The link led me to a pamphlet about LGBT and the Bible. I found it very interesting.
I am a Minister so I'm always looking for well written material to reference. Not all of my friends are writers so I look on the Internet for new passages. I wrote a book that is a collection of stories, parables, and essays. I was inspired to write it by the Dreams that God sent to me. The Church of Thomas is a firm believer that God never stopped talking with us. The problem is more that people in many respects quit listening.
The book is titled, "Awakenings in an age of Angels". There are stories about Jesus' life as a kid onward, as well as stories about the role of Angels on Earth. Some of the stories are parables to help people with modern problems. All of the material is written in the oral tradition of the Church of Thomas.
The Church of Thomas dates to the time of Jesus, led by the Apostle Thomas. A side note for those interested, the Church of Thomas never had a problem with LGBT, or Science Communities. There is an update of the Gospel of Thomas in my book, free by e-mailing me, and on the Church of Thomas website. Verse 114 of RGoT specifically references us as special in the eyes of God. A discussion of verse 114 is on both my blog on Myspace and Tripod web sites.

Frankly, I found this post confusing. Are you just plugging the book? Making a statement? Asking a question? It seems I'm not alone in being confused. Your poll got an ambiguous result.

No, I was not just "plugging my book". I have an online Ministry that I wanted to introduce to people. Because so few people have heard of my Denomination, I gave a link to the Church website. I have done a fair number of totaly different things in my life, so I put my homepage link on my post. Since I spend most of my free time on Myspace I put it as well. It is a more interactive format, with IM that I have on my home computer.

I also offered an ear if someone need to talk. Being a writer is an integral part of my life, so of course I would share that. Maybe I misunderstood what my intro was meant to do. I thought it was supposed to be a snapshot of the things in my life and who I am. I appologize to anyone who was confused, including you Brian.
