Hello,
I am a straight person who wants to get some support from this group because I am under attack for being willing to accept gays, lesbians and transgenders in to our community. The only reason bi-sexuals isn't in this list is because in the community directory, they list only the three. We have Christian friends who are very angry. I want to post privately about this matter. you can learn more about our community by going to www.ic.org and look up wellspring eco-village and learning center You can find out more about me at my myspace.com/livablefuture website. My brother and his partner are gay, and have been together for 22 years. I have many friends who are gay or lesbians, and have had 99% positive experiences with the glbt community. I feel confused when I am confronted with so much negativity--even by more progressive folks who I would have expected to be more tolerant. I love what soulforce stands for, and I hope to connect here. I am traveling to Oregon (Portland, Grants Pass) then San Francisco in the next couple weeks if there are any connections to be made in those parts. |

Hi, I'm a bit confused as to whether you're asking a question or telling us to look at the website. I did save it. It's late, so I'll take some time and really look tomorrow.
I'm Transgendered. I've been in church for my entire life, and was expected to take it over as pastor at one time. I have now come to accept who I am. If you have questions about T people, please ask, I would love to help.

Hi Patricia. Maybe it's not pertinent, but I do have some clarifying questions.

Are your "Christian" friends the ones threatening you?
