We have "Lesbian Avengers" and "Digging Dykes" here. Neither are gangs although the latter's lawns are bad-ass. The tour of homes and gardens is stunning. There is also a motorcycle club that usually rides in the Pride parade.

And the name "Dykes on Bikes" has become so popular, and so generic that a women's club in California has copyrighted it.

Lesbian Avengers are usually pretty nice, once you get to know them, and I try to make it a point to do just that.

"Lesbian Avengers Eat Fire, Too" is an incredibly awesome documentary with a fabulous title that is well worth the watch - If you can find it. Our school library or some department had it, and we'd always giggle when we talked about it cause the title is so ridiculous, and it sounds like a sequel. That said, I have a LOT of respect for these women, and would work with them in a heartbeat should the opportunity ever arise.
