Wink Hi From Sacramento!

Hi everyone – thought I’d introduce myself. Been a reader for some time but inspired to post and wanted to say ‘hi’ first. My name is Toni (aka T-Dog aka T) and I’m a Lesbian from Sacramento CA – which is not currently sunny. We’ve had a ton of rain recently! Anyway, I’m in a very happy committed relationship with the most wonderful girl. We have great kids (no, not human) – two cats, two dogs and a horse (I’m the horse nut). My girlfriend and I enjoy hiking, backpacking, taking trips, exercising together, and I’m a total birdwatching fiend. I was raised in a Christian home – AG – and while I like to consider myself a Christian I don’t identify with the majority of those who go by that moniker. (I have my own beliefs and don’t feel its necessary to force them onto anyone although I’m happy to discuss them.) Although I struggled with my attraction and desire for women most of my life, it wasn’t all that difficult to push it aside and do and be what I thought my family and ‘Christian’ mentors wanted me to do and be. Through the difficult times of my life, marriage and divorce, I found the courage and resolve to come out to myself and then to my loved ones. It was most freeing, felt like ‘coming home’, like I was finally where my life was meant to be. I’m happy with my life - I know that God loves me just as he made me, and Jesus hasn’t abandoned me for being myself. I enjoyed Mel White’s book greatly, was jazzed to find Soulforce and that they added the Forums, and am very excited about what the Equality Riders are doing. This is a great place! I feel like I know several of you already and look forward to many discussions. I noticed a couple of members are from Scotland – I’ve been there twice, Glasgow is my favorite city in the world! Maybe when I come back we can meet! Well, this post is long enough for now. Looking forward to ‘seeing’ you all in the forums…

Howdy and welcome!!

Rain, huh? I'm in Arizona, and I WISH we could get some of that rain (it rained one day last week for the first time in about 5 or 6 months - it literally "washed" the pollution out, like God had taken a sponge to the valley.)

Thanks for the introduction, and glad ya decided to come on in and try the water - seeya back at the main forum.

Default Hi Tdogg!

So glad that you "came out" to openly join us. We are a friendly group, as you may already know. I feel so grateful for Soulforce and the forums since it found me, and I feel grateful for and proud of the Equality RIders and all they have faced already in a week's time. Look forward to seeing your posts and communicating- glad that you have such a full family out there in California. I'm in PA and have a large one of my own- dog, five cats, fish, partner, and daughter!!!! See you again! PEACE,
