Default Creating Change Conference

http://www.thetaskforce.org/ourprojects/cc/index.cfm
Is anybody going to the conference in Oakland, Nov. 9-13? I don't get to go because I have a previous committment checking out a seminary. But for anyone going, the LGBT Coalition of the UCC will be having a get together the Wednesday before, Nov. 9th, which I will get to attend. FYI,

Build Strength/Build Community/Build Networks=Organize

Join leaders of The UCC Coalition for LGBT Concerns to talk about community
organizing in the Bay Area and the U.S. around common issues. On the evening
before the NGLTF Creating Change Conference in Oakland, local UCC members
and UCC folks from around the country will gather to converse and reflect.

We hope to build relationships among folks from various UCC locales, and
to discuss The Coalition's vision for nationwide organizing. Ruth Garwoood,
new National Coordinator of the Coalition, and Coalition Council Member
Louise Green will convene the meeting at 7 pm, at an Oakland location near
the Marriott City Center to be determined.

For more information and to let us know you are interested, email Ruth Garwood
at nationalcoord@ucccoalition.org, or phone 800-653-0799.

Default creating change conference

I will be going to the conference, but won't be able to attend the UCC gathering on Wednesday night as I'm committed to helping set up the quiet room that evening. Kara

Glad you're getting to go. I would be, except I promised someone that I would check out this prospective students event at the local seminary that weekend. Maybe next time.

Blessings,
Tammy

Default Good Luck

Well wishes to everyone attending the conference. I will be unable to attend due to Finals, and also out of town that weekend. Good luck & hope everything goes well.
