If you live in Texas, there is an ammendment being proposed to the futile care law that would require hospitals/doctors to treat patients until another suitable facility can be found. Since this doesn't get a lot of media attention, it obviously needs the support of private citizens. You can find out more about it by going to:

I live in Texas but I didn't know of any futile care law coming up. I will try to find out more...
