I still feel energetic and youthful, but find that when I try to do full energy activities it takes greater effort. It is kind of bugging me a bit. Wondered if any others feel the same thing, or similar anyway.

The other part I am noticing, and I am by no means vain, is that I notice the face in the mirror LOOKS older, aging, wrinkled. I don't mind wrinkles, or gray hairs, but I don't recognize my own body, or features of my face at times. It is a strange phenomena to look in the mirror and to not appear to yourself as you once did.

Am I crazy, or can anyone else identify with this??

All is passing.....

I have to remind myself of this when I look in the mirror, or see pictures from a few years ago. I have the sense that "I' am the same person, but am not sure what that means exactly.

I think aging is a very mysterious thing, as much physical as mental. What comes first? I wonder about that. Is it simply a trick of the mind that makes up feel like we could live forever? Should live forever? Do live forever in some way? I find that a fascinating question/thought.

And there is something about looking in a mirror that takes courage. I've come to understand-after watching myself in a mirror for my profession (in singing you learn a great deal by watching yourself)- that one can look and not see. Just like one can hear but not listen. It's when we can see and listen that we learn something about ourselves and others.

Sounds like that's what's going on here.
