Default Interesting, or predictable combo?

It seems as if Rudy is wearing whatever "hat" or "robe" that will endear him to us voters who must be dumber than we look. Last week, he was wearing a BoSox hat after they won the world series, even though his heart is with...... well you know who. A newscaster talked about it last night something like this: Why not Rudy? Who used to support the right to abortion, gay rights and civil unions, and is on his third wife?

I guess Pat never told Rudy that he thinks that homosexuality is an abomination. Or did he????

Although they do disagree over that aspect, apparently there are a lot of other things that they agree about, notably that conservative judges need to be elected to the Supreme Court in order to preserve family values as well as the state of Israel.

Family values? Who's family values, I would like to ask? I don't believe that Rudy will get the nomination anyway, and Republican is not my party, but I once again feel disillusioned in the idea that politically persons who run ever really mean what they say. It feels like all the words are BS.

Wink Say Goodnight, Gracie.

I have foretold the demise of Rudy G.

I will admit some shock at how long and how far he has come in this process, but taking the endorsement of Robertson is truly the beginning of the end.

Question

When I read this in the news this morning, my first thought was, could Pat Robertson actually be starting to try and do damage control and backtrack on all the hurt and violence he's committed against GLBTs???

Then I regained my senses and thought, nawwwww, so now I really don't know what to think...It is odd.

Rudy has turned his back on the GLBT community. He could have been a great leader and voice for equal rights but welcome to the political world of sell yourself for votes.

I think Pat Robertson kind of pressed his endorsement on Giuliani. Robertson has millions of TV and satellite viewers of his program. That's not a chunk of voters that Rudy can afford to ignore. Robertson also already has political connections from his own run for the White House. Rudy needs to at least not antagonize those people because they could kill his chances in the election. Robertson used to annoy my conservative mom to tears. He believes in supporting electable candidates even if their views are left of his.
