Bringing light to false beliefs
« on: September 30, 2005, 09:43:10 AM »

following the devastating hurricane katrina, alabama state senator hank erwin stated that "new orleans and the mississippi gulf coast have always been known for gambling, sin and wickedness. it is the kind of behavior that ultimately brings the judgment of god."

this statement is made from the asssumption that god's love for his children is conditional - that he loves us only when we are being a certain way. once we mess up though, his wrath and judgement will be shown. according to erwin, the "wicked" and "righteous" suffered alike as a result of sins in this entire region.

this is not the case!

as inner bonders, we know better then most, that god's love is absolute. and the characteristics of love do not include 'judgement' 'anger' and 'destruction.' god only has compassion for those who were harmed by this event that was born in our weather patterns, that have been altered by our free-will use of chemicals and machines that contribute toward global warming.

but there is an alarming ammount of people in the world who do not know this! there are countless false beliefs out there, that lead people to conclude that they must live a certain way and believe certain things in order to gain the love of god - and if that is too much to ask, there are people out there that throw up their arms and say "forget it, i don't need god!" and then live life in a way that is straying from their greatest good. and, there are those out there that tremble in fear at the thought of an angry, almighty ruler that will send storms to flood their lives if they behave badly.

senator erwin's claim was one made out of fear and low-awareness. when things like hurricanes happen in our lives that go out of our control, we are quick to blame anything, even god, just so long as we don't feel the emotional responsibilities involved with accepting our helplessness. but, that is exactly what we have to do - surrender our control and fear over to god, who wants only to see your spirit evolve toward the best.

this message is a challenge to anyone reading - if you have a direct and personal relationship with god and spirit, and you come across those who do not, and interpret the spirit based on their fear and low-awareness level, HELP THEM! be an embodiment of love, that shows and touches others in the way god intends! if others believe in a god of vengeance and judgement, they are harming themselves and possibly those around them in a very sad way. once you have come to know god, introduce him to everyone, even those that may think they already do! let's start here at this website in ending the false beliefs that disillusion and scare our world.

Arrow Red, if what Sen. Erwin said is right, then Washington, D.C. . . .

.
.
Should go thermonuclear, any moment now.

Red, I love your posts, but even better than that, I do truly admire the way that you just described God's unconditional love. This posting is both passionate, and compassionate.

Peace and Love, Bruce Chris

I hate it when people blame natural disasters on God punishing people. HELLO! Hurricanes are caused by the coriolis effect and by low pressure systems and by warm water and things. (I'm not a meterologist) NOT by God wanting to punish people. It makes me exasperated when doofus people say such things.
