Default Weekend Plans?

just for fun, no issues (unless your weekend involves issues)

What do you have planned this weekend?

my BF woke me up to say goodbye this morning and suggested that we stay home tonight and watch movies. so it looks like dvd's, popcorn, and maybe some of my homemade wine for this evening.

Saturday: he has a union meeting and I have to play for a funeral. Not sure about the rest of the day.

Sunday: Palm Sunday Services then ???? who knows?

now.you.go.

Tonight, same as far as movies, pizza, maybe some popcorn, possibly Chronicles of Narnia. Tomorrow, dog to the vet, income taxes (yes I am the last minute this year), and shopping for a guinea pig for our eight year old. Sunday, church for Palm Sunday, laundry due to a broken washer, my partner may get to do some initial artwork for props for our daughter's dance recital in May. Who's next??? Have a good one whatever you do, everyone. PEace all, Vanessa

Guinea pigs?! Aw how cute! I love little furries! (I would like to have rabbits, but our lifestyle just doesn't accomodate taking care of pets.) If it did, we would rescue an abandoned rabbit.

Plans? Dunno 'bout tonight - my bet is workaholic hubby will stay at the studio til all hours. If not, maybe we'll watch a DVD. And we aren't done with taxes either, so don't feel bad.

Tomorrow hubby is presenting a guild preview of "Oklahoma!" I will stay home and attack the yard which is overgrown with weeds, some of them almost knee height. And rescue hundreds of pounds of citrus off the trees before the new fruits form. Heheheh. And I'll see if I can harvest any of the veggies from our garden.

Sunday is the best - we have Cirque du Soleil tix for one of their touring shows (I forget what it's called.) I adore Cirque! I wish I was strong enough/endurant enough to be an athlete in one of the Cirque shows! And if we get out of that early enough in the afternoon (its a matinee), I'd like to catch the Ron Brown dance co. touring show that night. They're in town for this week only, and I had the good fortune to take a master class with them a few days ago, and it was awesome! All African-influenced modern dance. Rockin'.

Default livin' for the weekend

Aww, guinea pigs are awesome! If you need any help or information, let me know. Vanessa knows, but for everyone else - I work at a PetSmart store.

Tonight I'm also going to fit into the pizza, movie, stay at home category. We'll probably watch a DVD documentary on gay marriages called "Tying the Knot".

Tomorrow I'm also planning to get my taxes done - first time for me. I'm also going with my girl to see (or hear?) the local philharmonic orchestra.

Sunday is busier. First I'll probably get together with my Little Sister from Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Then we're going to see the Passion Play at our local college and attend mass.

Take your ear plugs! I'm serious! The show is fantastic- I've seen them here twice- but each time the sound was way way way too loud. Anythings over 80 decibels is damaging to the ears. And it was way over that. This affects the voice of course. They make great ones now that I use:

http://www.etymotic.com/

For more info on how it affects the voice see read:

The Ear and the Voice by Alfred Tomatis. Good stuff for musician's to know.

Have fun this weekend Zerbie!

Default Weekend...

I'm going to see my horse tomorrow! He's just starting to get ridden regularly by the trainer and i'm anxiously waiting for the day I can take a ride! He's young but very sweet - I'm really excited to see him under saddle, will only be the second time for me since he's been broke.

Otherwise, yard work, house work, networking 2 computers to one high speed hookup, play with pets and tonight just hangin' around watching movies and getting ready for some dinner. Spent a few days in Monterey for work, got home late last night, so i'm just jazzed to be HOME! There's no place like home!

Well, apparently tonight I'm watching Dr. Who (surprise, surprise) and eating Leona's takeout (Buffalo Wings...mmmmm)

Sleeping in tomorrow, then a long shower...the two best joys of a day off. Oh...I can't wait!!! Then laundry, groceries, and who knows...just hangin'. I take my days off very seriously!

Sunday...ugh! Early up...church choir till noon....hoping the Healey Willan piece we're singing doesn't crash and burn...it's a real possibility. Oy! Hoping to go for a walk/shop with my friend Ryan. Coaching (voice) in the late afternoon, and working out.

Talking The weekend

Well, we finally got the first three disks of Season 5 of Six Feet Under- I know you're saying OMG that was like so long ago- oh well. I have been wanting it forever. My wife and I sat up watching that until 10:30 p.m.then engaged in a theological discussion of Hebrews- I know, Six Feet Under? Hebrews? doesn't fit, but oh well. (It really wasn't that boring)

Today my 18 year old daughter needs a prom dress, my partner needs a new car, and I am just tagging along for the ride.

Fixing to eat breakfast so we can get started.

Tomorrow-church as usual. Have a blessed day! and weekend!

So far, I've watched 5 episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and one episode each of Lost, Battlestar Galactica, and Ghost Whisperer. (It's been a pretty chilly week up north for this time of year, so no outdoor stuff for now.)

We also spent a good part of yesterday afternoon walking around the mall window-shopping and trying to avoid the small children who kept running in front of us and then, at the last possible moment, screeching to a halt and looking up at us with those big eyes they seem to have. (Why do kids do that? )

As for today? Maybe church. Or maybe not. Still waiting for him to wake up completely.

I taped Deep Space Nine on Spike TV this week and so this weekend I'm watching the final four episodes of the series. I've seen every TNG episode, every DS9 episode, every episode of Enterprise, and about half of Voyager and the original series. Oh, and all ten movies.

On a side-note, I wish Star Trek had a gay character. After all, they were the first network television show to feature an interracial kiss. That was in 1968. But I'm very glad that George Takei, who played Sulu, is an activist now. Hummm, they're calling the tour "The Equality Trek." I wonder if...

I remember running home to watch it (which dates me for sure!

Jonathan Harris' character (Dr. Smith) in Lost in Space certainly was certainly played as stereotypically gay. But the one I pined for in that series was Mark Goddard, who played Major Donald West.

Me, too. Maybe on the next series?
