Jenna has been increasingly active in the CWAC (Church Within A Church) movement. CWAC is a Methodist movement, much like Methodism was in its beginnings, and is "heeding the Call to BE Church in new ways and model what the United Methodist Church might become." As such, it is not formally part of the UMC, but stands in solidarity with those within the UMC who strive for full inclusion of all people.
The CWAC recently published a book by Gil Caldwell, who is also involved in the direct action, along with Soulforce, during the UMC General Conference this year. Activism takes resources - spiritual, physical and material - and the movement is in need at this time. If it isn't breaking rules, I would like to include a note sent by Jenna to many of her friends within the UMC and other organizations of which she has been a part. (Moderators - please let me know if this isn't acceptable.) That note is below: Quote:

I had never heard of this Andy. Thank you for letting us know.
I will be checking out the website momentarily. It sounds fresh, and hopeful for those that need the hope. I hope that many hear the call. ![]()
