Huray! My best friend lives in CA and I think I will go visit her soon enough and tie the not again.(3rd time, same woman though)

I convinced Ellie it would be a great travel idea to just go on our anniversary every few years and get married in states we can legally be married in. Every August, just take a family vacation(no pun intended). She asked me how many times I wanted to marry her and I said " As many times as it takes to make it legal everywhere"

The bigots are lamenting this new gain for us. The homophobic "Crunchy Con" on beliefnet wrote the following article:

http://blog.beliefnet.com/crunchycon...nd-civili.html

Of course Dreher's arguments are extremely weak and he knows it. The article has generated an interesting discussion as you'll see from the comments to follow.

I say it's about time. Yay CA!!! Yay EQUALITY!!

The people at protectmarriage.com are feeling sorry for all the poor gays in CA. They say we will run in droves to get married after the supreme court ruling takes effect, only to have it overturned in November after the voters pass the anti-gay constitutional amendment. Poor gays!

Yeah, those protectmarriage.com people really have pity on us poor gays. When you dissect their arguments, they are absolutely ridiculous. But for some reason, their followers buy into it. The whole fallacy of the 'gay agenda'. Our only agenda is freedom, peace and equality. And really, that should be any compassionate human being's agenda.

i look forward to being able to use the Shug Avery line from The Color Purple - "I'se married now!"

Well, beware stupid people with nothing better to do with their time. Apparently, some people will do anything for a buck.
