New England Trans Pride Event

The first New England Transgender Pride March and Rally will be held on June 7, 2008 in Northampton, MA. The event is organized by members of the trans and gender variant community, and their allies, with the intent of taking a visible and positive stand for transgender rights. The March and Rally is dedicated to diverse representation among organizers and participants. We seek to educate and build awareness of the movement against gender-based discrimination. We promote self-acceptance and acceptance of our whole identities and lives. We gather to celebrate and affirm our individuality, diversity, and strength.

Hope to see people from the Northeast and New England there on the 7th. Check Web site for details.

Andrew, we'd love to meet you at TransPride! We can decide on a rendez-vous point when it gets closer. Wear something Soulforce-ish. What could that be? Check out my page on Glee for a pic of Charley and me holding our foster grand-twins. (You're still my Glee friend, right?) As a bonus, Joe Stevens of Coyote Grace (also on my page) will be there entertaining.

Ben: Don't know that I can be there, but in spirit I certainly will be. I know that years ago, we lesbians had quite a growing contingent in Northampton; it is a very nice little town.

If Andrew and Jenna make it, make sure you hug each other, Charley included, from all of us here!!!!
