Default Hey there! Mt Name Is Bishop Ioan

I just signed on here after finding this board. I am an Old Catholic/Christo-Pagan bishop, currently living with my spouse in Evansville, IN, but am planning to moe to Phoenix, AZ in January.

I was aware of Pastor Mel White during the mid-90s by way of his book and hearing him speak at A Different Light Bookstore in San Francisco.Nice to see that he is still here, and still part of the struggle.

Default Welcome Bishop

Forgive me, but do you mean that you are in the Order of Melchizadek?

Great to have you here.

Again- welcome.

Daniel

Well, all Christian priests are considered to be of the Order of Melchisadek.

I use the service book of the Ordo Arcanorum which is considered Christo-Pagans and am working on adapting some of the Orthodox usage to the Christo-Pagan usage.

Of course, you are right, but I was wondering if you were within the Eastern Church that is still aligned with Rome. The Melkite Church. Though, from what you write, I guess not.

I am not familiar with the term Christo-Pagans, so had to go google-ing- as it were. Very interesting.

I can see why you would want to incorporate some Eastern Orthodox usage, considering their understanding of Sophia- the inner feminine- and what I personally understand as 'intuition' or one's inner 'still small voice' which is 'heard' via meditative practices. Esoteric stuff to be sure. And stuff which interests me both practically and philosophically (mental understanding not being enough!).

A Course in Miracles (which I have studied) places a good deal of emphasis on listening to this Voice.

Looking forward to hearing more about your journey.

Default Wow, very interesting.

Greetings,
As with Daniel, I also had to Google the term Christo-Pagans.
As individuals, my husband and I follow different paths; our union would certainly be considered Christo-Pagan. He has taught me so much regarding the old religion, the blending of the God and the Goddess and of the magic all around us. I share with him my understanding of Christ's teachings, which is often very different from what mainstream Christianity of today teaches.

Welcome aboard, Bishop Ioan.

You will find a wide range of faith expression here. I hope you continue to find our little family worthy of your membership. We've always got lots of room for more family members.

It's really good to see another clergyperson enter the door, as well.

Be well, and may God continue to bless your work,
Andy
