American Family Association
So, I'm reading in my new Advocate magazine, and came across a small article regarding the American Family Association (AFA). It appears that they are famous for reproducing news received by the Associated Press, and placing it on their news website: Onenewsnow.com
Well, in keeping with their homophobia, the folks at Onenewsnow set up their computer system to automatically change the word "gay" to "homosexual" as articles come through from the A.P. Ok, not funny or surprising. But, think Olympics. Think track and field. Think Tyson Gay. The news article on the website read that Tyson Homosexual clocked in at 9.86 seconds...  And if that wasn't enough, there's more: "...along with matching shoes...Homosexual dominated the competition..."  STUPID. Serves them right. Of course, corrections were made as soon as they were noticed. This is just another fine example of the [insert your own adjective] we are dealing with.

Sadly, Tyson Homosexual (uhhh, I mean Gay) did not bring home any medals. But cheers to Matthew Mitchem, an exemplary example of a fine young gay man, not to mention diving perfection! Interpret that AFA!
