Default lol hi

I'll refer to the topic in this thread, so Hi My name is Jonathan Spencer Juan Neutra~a Martinez Vargas Arroz Raya-Villagomez (I know it's quite a long name but that's why I <3 it lol), I'm a gay catholic, I am glad that Mel publicized his article, but looking at the threads, I am glad so many of you are so passionate about allowing the GLBT community into church, as I know there is a lot of discrimination in the churches on this issue

WELCOME!!!

I think I got this right all the last names come from your grandparents primary last names. Right? Someone explained it to me one time. It's a bit confusing but it makes some sense if you ask me.

Yes, there is a lot of discrimination in the churches surrounding GLBT people. This was the "straw that broke the camels back" for me and I left the Baptist church about 1.5 years ago and have never looked back.

I am now part of a congregation that loves and welcomes all. I am taking classes through my church to become an ordained minister and two weeks ago I came out to my class (all 5 of us). The response was way better than I could have imagined. I wish all churches could be like this. After ordination I want to work on helping churches become more inclusive of ALL people.

I hope you stay and share more of your journey with us.

Welcome Jonathan! Glad to have you here!

Mel is a wonderful man. Many of us here could say that we are very greatful to he and his partner Gary for creating this place.

There are some interested discussions regarding the church and GLBT issues; the best part is, if you can't get your questions answered by reading, you're more then welcome to start a new thread/discussion.

I how you stick around, we'd love to hear more from you!
