John McCain has had a field day with Barack Obama's tenuous associations with Bill Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground who is now a Chicago professor.

Obama has said repeatedly that Ayers' radical past (he was involved in a handful of bombings in the 1960s) occurred when Barack was just a child, and he repudiates those actions. Nevertheless, McCain wants more. He claimed recently:

"I think not only a repudiation but an apology for ever having anything to do with an unrepentant terrorist is due the American people."
Now, however, the Chicago Tribune is pointing out McCain's own radical associations with G. Gordon Liddy:

How close are McCain and Liddy? At least as close as Obama and Ayers appear to be. In 1998, Liddy's home was the site of a McCain fundraiser. Over the years, he has made at least four contributions totaling $5,000 to the senator's campaigns--includin g $1,000 this year.

Last November, McCain went on his radio show. Liddy greeted him as "an old friend," and McCain sounded like one. "I'm proud of you, I'm proud of your family," he gushed. "It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."


For those who are unaware, Liddy helped plan the Watergate break-in that would cost Nixon his presidency and landed Liddy a four-year jail sentence.

But Liddy's career of inflammatory statements and actions exceed his Watergate actions.

Liddy, on Vitenam:

"I wanted to bomb the Red River dykes [sic]. It would have drowned half the country and starved the other half. There would have been no way the Viet Cong could have operated if we had the will-power to do that."
Liddy, advising Branch Davidians how to defend themselves from ATF agents during a radio show:

"If the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms insists upon a firefight, give them a firefight. Just remember, they're wearing flak jackets and you're better off shooting for the head."
Liddy, on the impact Adolf Hitler had on him as a child:

When he listened to Hitler on the radio, it "made me feel a strength inside I had never known before," he explains. "Hitler's sheer animal confidence and power of will [entranced me]. He sent an electric current through my body."

McCain's home church is North Phoenix Baptist. It is not Rod Parsley's church in Columbus, Ohio. My point being that McCain's family does not regularly attend Parsley's church. Parsley is a loud-mouth and a jerk (IMHO) but he is not McCain's primary spiritual advisor.

But McCain still endorses him.He also calls him a spiritual guide. McCain is seen in the video giving him praises, what does this say about McCain's mentality if he endorses someone like this.Also we seem to automatically associate the word terrorist with Islam , not all Moslems are terrorists and many are law abiding citizens here in the US. Nor can we say that Christianity doesn't have their extremist element either. Some of them behave and think like a Islamic fanatic and have the same mentality.(IE Terrorist) I don't know what other word you would call promoting genocide would be called.

I'll put it bluntly if McCain gets elected we will have hell to pay. They may talk about the democrats "Tax and spend policies" But as one person put it, what about the republicans borrow and spend policies?

Here was a letter posted on the democratic party website, it makes perfect sense:
A little preface: Our local paper publishes weekly. It has a circulation of just over 6,000. It has 2 policies you need to know. Letters can be no longer than 300 words and they do not allow political letters of any kind the week before the election except there own. Traditionally, our local paper has always endorsed the GOP candidate. Maybe this year will be different, time will tell. Anyway, the following are my 300 words...


Using history as a guide, the next issue of the PCH (our local paper) will cut off all political letters for a good reason while simultaneously endorsing McCain for President. I could be wrong but as I said, I'm using history as a guide.

I'm a proud liberal and no matter how hard the GOP tries to paint me with a broad brush as an unpatriotic tree hugging terrorist sympathizer, I know the truth. I take personal responsibility, pay my taxes, work hard and served honorably in the military. I agree with George Washington when he said, “As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality. “

As Reagan asked America it's time to ask yourself if America is better off now than 8 years ago? Any serious person who carries an ounce of objectivity would say resoundingly, No! Then you must ask yourself who is going to carry on Bush's arrogant policies of America's demise. Make no mistake, if McCain is elected, you will have 4 more years of Bush policy that has been so destructive to our freedoms, reputation, economy, military, infrastructure, constitution, environment, education and our Department of Justice.

To all you good Republicans I ask, please don't question my patriotism. I don't question yours. Yet you revel in labeling Liberals as “Tax and Spenders” while ignoring the devastating policies of “Borrow and Spend.” One is an investment in our American children, the other is a burden on them. Are we to be the first generation to leave our kids a worse America? I don't think so! Vote Obama, he's a good man! ( this was written by a man in the military)

Also to note : I checked this out on votesmart.org Obama has been more supportive of our troops and disabled vets in trying to get legislation passed where they can get improved medical care among other things. McCain scored the lowest of all those who are in the senate, he was given a 20% grade by DAV (Disabled vets) Obama scored much higher at 80% .ACTIONS speak louder than words, everyone knows about the struggles our vets and troops are having getting benefits and medical care and about stop loss. McCain said he loved our troops and vets and would take care of them? His voting record shows the opposite. The man used to be a maverick but he sold out to the far right. He is no longer a maverick just one of them good ol' republican boys who want to burden us with more debt by promoting more wars. Money that should be used here at home to improve the quality of our schools, rebuild our bridges and roads which are crumbling, helping people who are losing their homes and jobs. People can talk about welfare all they want but what a poor person receives on welfare is a pittance (I should say miniscule)compared to the millions if not billions in subsidies given to rich corporations like Walmart. Yes, Walmart received millions from the government to expand it's business. What the heck is that?

McCain becoming president is just scary, no matter how you slice it, it is just plain scary. It would be a nightmare for all of us. Hmm, doesn't he look a little like the "Antichrist"?

Rod Parsley, and possibly John McCain, needs to read some US history books, if he thinks America was founded to exterminate Islam. It was definitely founded on bloodshed though, and the natives here paid a dear price for it.

Parsley is a good example of a religious extremist. McCain should be distancing himself from anything this man is, does or says. Just another reason to not trust McCain.
