Default Hi I'm Jen

I'm joining this group because I'm bi and went to a high school and college for Christian Scientists that banned LGBT people unless they were praying to heal themselves of homosexuality, and also banned any public, unauthorized questioning of that policy (FYI, the Christian Science Church does not have a stance on homosexuality and this school is not associated with the Church). I did a lot of work fighting this policy in college, and would like to continue to help at my school and others like it now that I have graduated. I learned about Soul Force from a friend of mine who used to go to the same school. Right now I don't belong to any religion, but am a spiritual person.

Default Well, Welcome to Our Forums, Jen

I am a little embarrassed that no one has greeted you before this, We have some members that almost always greet newbies. I see that Chris/ty have said hello.

Chris + Christy = Chris/ty? I wonder if I can get away with that?

Well, I'm sure that they'll holler at me if I'm out of line. . .

Well, God made some of us gender and/or sexually variant, just as surely as S/He made the Earth revolve around the Sun. (And SCIENTISTS, some of them Christian, some of them not, have helped us to learn that) And it may take the church about that long to figure that out. Read our stuff, tell us what ya think, and met the folks.

And let us, and I mean ALL of us give you our appreciation for doing your best to help make the Christian church just a little more Christian.

Peace and Love, Bruce Chris
