Default Rick Warren is at it again!

Rick Warren is back at it. Now he is offering the Epsiopal churches who have been displaced by their denomination a place to stay.

Read the article in USA Today:

For Rick Warren to do this 11 days before the inauguration seems as if he's thumbing his nose at the LGBT community.

He knows that President Obama is not going to rescind his invitation to give the invocation on the 20th. So Warren openly welcomes the displaced Episcopals who have split from their church because of the inclusions of gay priests.

Warren is telling these people, that It doesn't matter if they pick and choose scripture to justify their hate for gays. He will welcome them with open arms.

Rick

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me. I'd've been more surprised if he didn't reach out to them.

Arrow Oy veh.

Rick Warren is such a putz.

He might also end up being a schlemiel if the Anglicans look down their nose at his offer.

Then again the bolting Anglicans deserve Saddleback and its pastor. (And, frankly, he deserves them.)

Default Rick Warren equating same sex marriage with incest?

Why that MoFo!

And I've seen him write about the Great Commission, as opposed the the great commandment.

(We're supposed to spread fire and brimstone, but we're not supposed to spread love?}

Obviously, just a typo.

Friends,

Just saw the news that Gene Robinson will be praying at one of the Inaugural Events at the invite of Obama.

Rick Warren has been meddling in Anglican politics in Africa. He's also essentially meddling in African politics. He bears watching, and we need to dispel the notion that he is some kind of moderate.

I'd also like to dispel the notion that he is deserving of taking Billy Graham's place as the "nation's pastor." My sense is that Graham was much more careful and moderate even on LGBT issues and he didn't get involved in stoking divisions between Christians or in politics.

Default I heard a few years back, well many years back

That Billy Graham paid himself $20,000 a year, and drove a 5 year old Mercury. It is my understanding that very few televangelists can make comparable claims. How much does Rick Warren make?

Looking forward to the inauguration, Bruce Chris

I hope this doesn't set a precedent for the choices Obama makes in the future. He could have just as well had a Klansman say the prayer. I refuse to even watch this part of the inauguration tomorrow.
