Default ooops!

Sorry, Venari! Somehow I mentioned the parakeet in my post, but forgot it on the survey (poor Mel!)... I'd love to have a parrot - in particular, an African Grey because of their intelligence. It's not in the cards for my living situation now, but who knows what may happen???

Angry Who needs 'em

I hate animals in my house and see "pet" ownership tantamount to slavery. Frequently I liberate my differently covered brothers from their compound and return them to the wild where they belong. Boxes of kittens and a plethora of puppies are right now learning the ways of their ancestors and making their way in the Rocky Mountains, shedding the evils of mens domestification and supposed comforts... Don't fall for the big, sad eyes and feigned helplessness. They are smarter than you think... And music is a lie. And flowers are the greatest of all deceivers, just waiting to take over the planet...

(I don't have any critters at the moment, and maybe its making me a little bitter...)

Yes, I think you need something cute and cuddly ... like a bunny or hamster.

We had rabbits hutches on the farm, they are great fun and have more personality then people give them credit for.

Default Purrrr

hehe. I meant to do this post after I voted a few days ago, but I forgot. Anyway, my pets are Fat Cat, who is 15 and 1/2, and Kirby, a pooch who is 3. We just celebrated his b-day yesterday with my own b-day, because we know he was born in early May sometime. Fat Cat is an orange/brown kitty with white paws and belly. His sister, Weebles, was gray with a white belly and paws, but we had to have her put to sleep on Feb. 13 this year. She was my baby and still is. sniff. Kirby is a black lab/border collie mix. He is sooo cute. He is all black except for white mixed in on his belly and the tip of his tail is white, like a paintbrush. I'll try to get a couple pics up sometime.

Default New Addition..

I'm getting a baby Bearded Dragon on Monday!!
(today's Thursday here, btw)

I'm really excited because they're awesome lizards and it's the kind of lizard I've always wanted... but never thought I'd be able to have. A couple of things fell into place and I'm very excited about the new baby. I've decided to name him (or her - who knows?) Elvis, but we'll see as things go along. If it's a female, I may have to rethink things... any ideas?

That's cool. I love bearded dragons... they're so cool. I knew a girl who had about 14 of them.... they kept having babies. You must be very excited.

Mia,

Bearded dragons are so wonderful - I've had a few but none currently. I really like them. The more time you spend with them, the more friendly they are. Some are sweeter than others tho. But you'll really like it! Who knows, Elvis could be fitting even if its a female!

Enjoy your new family addition and post a pic!

Default Randall is gone

One of my cats was hit and killed by a car tonight. Randall. I had him since he was a baby. He was a very lovable cat and lived a very good life.

I will miss him very much.
