If she didn't think it would happen to her then she wasn't being very realistic. But I don't think many gay people really 'get it' until it happens to them personally, discrimination I mean.

But you have to take an awful lot of crap. Just ask John Matlovich. Or that guy who saved Gerald Ford from assassination, Oliver Sipple.
It really would be nice to be taken for one of the good guys right away. The government would like to think that the public somehow doesn't catch on, but many of us do. BC
