Smile You All Are Very Nice Here...Thanks For Your Warm Hospitality!

Unlike the so-called traditional fundamentalist Christian, who claim to love others as themselves but don't always demonstrate that love, I am really enjoying the very warm reception I'm receiving so far on this Forum. Thanks, guys and gals, for making me feel welcome!

Smile Thank you

I'm pleased that you feel that, Dakota. We're happy that you're here.

Smile Thanks, Genee!

I'm happy to be here, too. I'm glad I've finally found some friends who accept me for the way I am without trying to make me into something I'm not. After all, Jesus never tried to change anyone, did He? Nope! Instead, He loves us just the way we are.

You're very welcome Dakota! I'm glad that we've gotten a new member who actually stuck around, far to many say 'hello' and never return.

I'm glad that you are experiencing with us the sense of true community that we have on these forums. While I already believed it, your post gives me faith that this forum will never die.

Smile Awww!

I don't see this Forum dying any time soon, either, Jennifer5. I hope I remain a part of it for a very long time.

You're one of the reasons that we won't die. It only takes two people to keep things going.

Smile What a nice post, Dakota!

I'm glad you like it here so much.

I'm quite new to Internet twittering. It's been less than a year since I started. I'm a member of a handful of other websites, but I chose Soulforce to post my first-ever thread because people here are so friendly.

Best wishes!

Unhappy It Does Make Me Wonder, Though...

Why fundamentalist Christians, although well-meaning, tend to treat each other and the rest of society as a whole worse than what the Bible instructs them to do. And they call themselves Christians?????

Some on these forums mentioned how people will bury their problems. I think a lot of Christian encourage you to do just that, bury your problems and not talk about them. Most people will gladly do so and start at an early age. When this happens, it's becomes very challenging to treat others the way they deserve to be treated. After all, misery loves company.

Just like in a marriage, in any relationship, not dealing with the real issues as they come up can be fatal.
